By sending us a master or a file you confirm you hold the right to have it reproduced. We do not verify that claim beyond asking, but we will stop work immediately if a credible rights holder contacts us, and we will tell you who did. Recasting another party's commercially released kit is the one thing we refuse outright.
The mold belongs to whoever paid for it, which is normally you. We hold it on our rack, labelled, at no charge for two years from the last pull. After that we write; if we get no reply within sixty days the block is scrapped. You may ask for it back at any time — expect it to arrive heavy and expect it to have a working life left, not a fresh one.
No run starts until you have approved photographs of a raw test pull from the actual block. If you approve and later dislike a feature that was visible in those photographs, the recut is chargeable. If a fault appears that was not visible, it is ours.
Casting produces rejects. On simple parts we run at two to four percent; on fine-detail multi-part kits it can reach eight. We report the actual number with the run and we do not invoice rejects. A run priced for 200 units means 200 good units leave the building.
Quoted lead times run from mold sign-off, not from the date you first emailed. Convention season compresses the calendar for everyone; if we think the date is unachievable we will say so at quote stage rather than accept the job and disappoint you in week six.
Mold cost is invoiced on cutting. The run is invoiced on dispatch. Terms are fourteen days from invoice for established accounts, payment before dispatch for first jobs. We are a fourteen-person shop and late payment is felt directly, so we chase promptly and without embarrassment.
Silicone dies gradually: flash widens, detail softens, the parting line starts to lift. If a block gives out before the pull count we quoted, we recut it at our cost. If it gives out after, the recut is quoted fresh. The pull count on the card is our estimate, and we stand behind it.
Our liability for any job is limited to the value of that job — recasting the parts or refunding what you paid us. We carry insurance on masters in our care against fire and flood; declare a value above two thousand dollars at the time of shipping so it can be scheduled.
